The MX Book - The Sherlockian Interview - Will Murray

The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories - Volumes XXXI-XXXIII is currently running on Kickstarter and we're interviewing the contributors. Next up is Will Murray.
1. Please tell us a little bit about yourself, and your story.
What can I say? I'm a writing machine. More than 80 books and novels, dozens of short stories and hundreds if not thousands of articles and interviews.
After reading about the horrors of the Victorian doss houses, where indigent Londoners paid a penny to sleep sitting up in pews or in wooden coffins, I thought it would be interesting to have Sherlock Holmes follow an investigative trail into those sordid establishments. "The Adventure of the Doss House Ramble" explores Holmes's seldom seen sympathetic side, as he attempts to unravel the whereabouts of an engagement ring that vanished seemingly into thin air.
2. Why did you want to participate in this project?
At this point, it's a compulsion. I've written more than thirty Sherlock Holmes short stories to date.
3. What are your current and upcoming projects?
The Spider: Scourge of the Scorpion is my latest novel. It pits the famous pulp avenger against his arachnid opposite, the sinister Scorpion. I'm also working a sequel to my non-fiction book Master of Mystery: The Rise of The Shadow. This will be called Dark Avenger: The Strange Saga of The Shadow.
4. Any last thoughts?
I recently collected ten of my Holmes short stories into a collection called The Wild Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I plan a sequel volume, but at the rate I'm going, maybe I should plan for four or five followup collections!
