Posted by Steve Emecz on

The next three volumes of the MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories are due in November and fans can get big discounts and unique rewards in the Volume XXII-XIV Kickstarter.

Each day we'll be highlighting one of the dozens of authors of the 64 new stories in the new volumes.

Today is Jan van Koningsveld (Jan's Amazon profile here)

Jan's story - “The Affair of the Friesland” ;
This story is originally mentioned in “The Adventure of the Norwood Builder” by Dr Watson. The Friesland is a dutch steamship which brings a very gifted passenger to London, who is chased  by a dangerous organization. It is up to Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson to prevent an international affair, but in doing so, their lives are in great danger.

Jan's favourite Holmes quote is:

No, no: I never guess. It is a shocking habit,--destructive to the logical faculty. What seems strange to you is only so because you do not follow my train of thought or observe the small facts upon which large inferences may depend..”

“The Sign of The Four”
