Amy Thomas is now the leading female author in the prestigious Il Giallo Mondadori Sherlock series. Amy's fourth Sherock Holmes and Irene Adler novel, The Detective, The Woman and The Pirate's Bounty was released under the title Sherlock Holmes La Leggenda Del Pirata.
Being included in the series is in itself is a great honour. Virtually every release sells out (Mondadori does a single, very large print run) each month and there have been over seventy novels in the last six years. The series is a subset of the famous yellow mystery books which celebrated their 90th year in print in 2019. To appear four times is very special as its widely regarded as the most successful Sherlock Holmes novel series in the world.
Contributors to the series are a who's who of Sherlockian writing including Anthony Horowitz, David Stuart Davies, Laurie King, and Nicholas Meyer.
The first book in the series back in September 2014 was 'The Secret Journal of Dr Watson' (Sherlock Holmes e il diario segreto del dottor Watson) by Phil Growick.
Amy is one of the Baker Street Babes which is one of the leading Sherlockian podcasts in the world and one of her fellow members, Lyndsay Faye also has one of her novels in the series - #8 Sherlock Holmes - Il mostro dell' East End.
Amy's series is of course available in English - 'The Detective and The Woman Series' from all good bookstores.
