Sherlockian Interview - David MacGregor

Posted by Steve Emecz on

To celebrate the Kickstarter for Volumes 46-48 of the MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories we're interview the contributors.

Today it's David MacGregor.

Tell us a little about yourself – Where you live and your main hobbies.
I live in Michigan and teach English classes at Wayne State University in Detroit. Hobbies include soccer, golf, and searching out new restaurants to try.

What’s the name of your story in this collection, and what is it about (with no spoilers)?
The name of my story in this collection is "The Adventure of the Scottish Coffins," in which Holmes and Watson investigate the appearance of a mysterious find hidden inside a cave on Arthur's Seat, which is just outside of Edinburgh. Having climbed to the top of this extinct volcano myself, it felt like a grand spot for a wee bit of mystery.

What other projects have you recently completed that we can check out?
My short story, "The Adventure of the Mysterious Benefactor" will appear in December as part of MX's The Discoveries of Sherlock Holmes series, which will be released on Kindle Unlimited.

My most recent full-length play, The Antichrist Cometh, premiered earlier this year and is now available for licensing/purchasing through Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW). It's a comedy about a regular, everyday fellow who begins to suspect he might be the Antichrist...and the woman who loves him.
