Sherlockian Author Profile - Joseph Svec III

Posted by Steve Emecz on

The next three volumes of the MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories are due in November and fans can get big discounts and unique rewards in the Volume XXII-XIV Kickstarter.

Each day we'll be highlighting one of the dozens of authors of the 64 new stories in the new volumes.

Today is Joseph Svec III (Joseph's book website is here)

Joseph's poem -  Sherlock Holmes and the Return of the Missing Rhyme".
This is a sequel to my previous anthology poem, “Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Missing Rhyme”, and it references thirteen different original Sherlock Holmes stories in a quest to find a lost and elusive rhyme.

I enjoy writing story poems, as well as Sherlock Holmes cross-over stories that lead Holmes and Watson into many different fascinating literary worlds, meeting Jules Verne, Captain Nemo, H.G. Wells, Lewis Carroll, King Arthur, and others.

Joseph's favourite Holmes quote is:

“There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact.” from the Boscombe Valley Mystery, for it echoes a similar thought, which I have encountered more than once, “Science is truth, don’t be mislead by the facts.”
