Sherlock Author Profile - Jane Rubino

Posted by Steve Emecz on

Today's author profile from The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories Volumes XIX to XXI (now on Kickstarter) is Jane Rubino.

Jane's Favourite quote from The Canon:

"... he had not that supreme gift of the artist, the knowledge of when to stop."

The Norwood Builder

Not only the best quote from the Canon but may well be the pithiest literary observation ever.

Jane has a story in Volume XXI

"The Adventure of the Three Fables."

No one can read "The Three Gables" without thinking that both Holmes and Conan Doyle need to be, in the words of a character in my contemporary series, "Jersey smacked up good." If my tale achieves nothing else, I hope it rehabilitates the cringe-inducing relationship between Holmes and Steve Dixie.

Jane's favourites amongst her own works:

The Rucastle's Pawn, which is The Copper Beeches from Violet Hunter's POV.
