The Art of Sherlock Holmes Artist 23 - Jhina Alvarado

The Artist Jhina Alvarado is a self-taught artist who is represented by galleries across the United States. She is inspired by vintage photos and paints using oils and encaustic wax. Her work has been featured in various international and national magazines, blogs, and art technique books. She currently works part-time as a calculus and pre-calculus teacher at the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts and paints full-time in her home studio in San Francisco, California where she lives with her husband and four year old twins. The Art of Sherlock Holmes Artist 22 - Angela Fegan

The Artist Angela Fegan  is a native of Chicago’s South Side. A graduate of Chicago’s famed  Whitney Young High School, she received her BFA in Fine Arts from New York’s Parsons  School of Design and her MFA in Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts from Columbia College Chicago.  Angela has mounted shows at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Montgomery Ward Gallery, Galerie F, Chicago Artists’ Coalition,  the DePaul Art Museum, The Center for Book Arts  (NY) and the Hyde Park Art Center.
