The Trials of Sherlock Holmes by F. Scott Fitzgerald

When I found out that James Moffett of the wonderful blog A Tolkienist's Perspective was also a fan of Sherlock Holmes, I was pretty excited. You may remember that I very much enjoyed participating in his read-along of The Silmarillion, and I continue to appreciate his insights into Tolkien. I've also enjoyed his new Holmes-related blog, A Palace for the Mind. So I was eager to read James Moffett's own foray into Sherlock Holmes pastiche. And I'm happy to say that the mysteries here are more twisty than any I could ever come up with. They also all tie...

If you’re a fan of all things Holmes, this is one book you should definitely add to your collection. “I was recently sent a copy of a new book, Sherlock Holmes as a Pipe Smoker, by its author Dr. Thomas Gwinner. "This one is quite the page-turner. It is hard to believe such a great mystery could be crammed into about 150 pages! It keeps your attention from the first word to the last. Much like a mountain climber; when you think you have reached the climax of the novel, it simply means you are viewing the next peak. I have absolutely no hesitation in giving this novel five plus stars!” Raven’s Reviews Written by Steve Seitz Sherlock Holmes and The House of Pain is available from all good bookstores including The Strand Magazine, Amazon USA, Amazon UK, and for free shipping worldwide Book Depository .In ebook...
