THIF - Thank Holmes It's Friday 2021 Review
Posted by Steve Emecz on
We started #THIF Thank Holmes It's Friday in early 2021 and this week will be the 50th week. In that time we have featured over 100 different titles and given away over 1,000 audiobooks.
From short story collections to novels, non-fiction to children's books most weeks we have given away 2 or even three titles. As we head into 2022 we aim to keep going. We have lots of new titles coming and an increasing number of our 500 book back catalogue.
We wanted to take a moment to thank those fans who receive the free books that go on to post ratings and reviews for the books. For a small independent publisher, ratings and reviews are the difference between success and failure for many titles - especially as most sites give priority promotion to those with more than 50/100 ratings.
The success with audio has prompted us to launch our app which has been fantastic so far. As well as the only place you can get audio versions of The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories (we release 4 per month into the app) there are interviews, theatre performance and deduction tips.
The two launch interviews are with Lee Child talking about 'Reacher and Sherlock' and Dorothy Ellen Palmer, a disabled author talking about her groundbreaking book 'Wiggins: Son of Sherlock' the first Holmes novel to have a disabled person as a main character. There's also our first author panel featuring six leading Holmes authors.
There's still time to get a lifetime #THIF discount on the monthly subscription - use the code THIF to get 30% off - MX Audio Collection App. The discount is live until the end of December.
