The Sherlockian Interview - Liz Hedgecock
Posted by Steve Emecz on
The final four volumes (49-52) of The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories are now on Kickstarter (click here). Every day we will be featuring one of the authors in the collection. Today its Liz Hedgecock.
What’s the name of your story in the collection?
My story is called 'The Riddle of the Sphinx'.
How did the story come about?
I liked the idea of writing about an older Holmes, and for some reason, the idea of a crossword puzzle stuck in my mind. On checking the origin of crosswords, I realised the action would need to take place in America - so I'd set myself a nice little conundrum to solve!
Where did you first discover Holmes?
I first discovered Sherlock Holmes on television - when I was growing up, Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes was a firm fixture. Based on that, I started borrowing the story collections from my local library.
Where can fans find more about your work? (e.g., Blog, Amazon profile, etc.)
My website is at Liz Hedgecock, my Facebook author page is at Liz Hedgecock Writes, and my Amazon author page is at Liz Hedgecock on Amazon.
