To celebrate the Kickstarter for Volumes 46-48 of the MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories we're interview the contributors.
Tell us a little about yourself – Where you live and your main hobbies.
My name is Elbert Smith, I'm from a small town in Ohio. I am currently studying for a masters degree in screenwriting, and I work in film as a director and editor. I am obsessed with Doctor Who and have watched it my whole life. My favorite is Peter Davidson, because he is the one I grew up on. In my spare time I like to play Dungeons and Dragons, and collect comic books.
What’s the name of your story in this collection, and what is it about (with no spoilers)?
I have two in the collection, one is called The First Problem. It is about Professor Moriarty as a young man falling in love and committing his first crime. The second is called In The Flesh, and it is about Mycroft Holmes solving a killing spree in London that involves the Elephant Man.
What other projects have you recently completed that we can check out?
I have a feature film on Amazon Prime and Tubi right now called Murder In Black Satin. It is an homage to the Italian Giallo films of the sixties and seventies. I'm also an artist for The Celestial Toyroom magazine. It is a fan magazine for Doctor Who.
