Sherlockian Author Profile - Will Murray

Posted by Steve Emecz on

The next three volumes of the MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories are due in November and fans can get big discounts and unique rewards in the Volume XXII-XIV Kickstarter.

Each day we'll be highlighting one of the dozens of authors of the 64 new stories in the new volumes.

Today is Will Murray (click here for Amazon profile) who also appeared in Volume XIX.

Will has two stories in Volume XXIII of this set.

THE UNCANNY ADVENTURE OF THE HAMMERSMITH WONDER
The inspiration was Doyle's mention of "Vigo, the Hammersmith wonder." And what a wonder I have contrived! When lighting blasts an ancient tree, the shattered bark reveals a gaping green orb. Sherlock Holmes cannot resist investigating the eerie phenomenon….and quite a tangled tale he uncovers.
THE REPULSIVE MATTER OF THE BLOODLESS BANKER

For the second I set myself a challenge. I was drawn to both Isadora Persano and "the worm unknown to science" and "the repulsive story of the red leech and the terrible death of Crosby the banker." I made a connection between the worm and the leech. I thought, why don't I try to combine both untold cases?

Herein, banker Colin Crosby makes and then cancels an appointment with Holmes. A few days later, he is found expired in bed, his corpse still warm and all of his blood drained from his body. Sherlock cannot rest until he unravels this weird mystery.

Will's favourite Sherlock Holmes quote?
"That was the curious incident."
