Sherlock Book Review - The Additional Investigations of Sherlock Holmes
Posted by Steve Emecz on
In recent years, Arthur Hall has been one of the most prolific pasticheurs around – when he hears the call for a new Holmes anthology, not only does he answer, but he answers with multiple stories. “The Additional Investigations of Sherlock Holmes” is his third collection, following “Tales from the Annals of Sherlock Holmes” and “Further Little Known Cases of Sherlock Holmes” – along with seven Holmes novels (and counting).
This book contains seven adventures, all previously published in “The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories”. Mr. Hall has been a great supporter of this series, whose author royalties go to support the Undershaw school for special needs children at one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s former homes. So far, the MX anthologies have raised over $100,000 for the school, and Mr. Hall has been an important contributor – and he’s already written a number of other new stories since this volume was published, so there can be no doubt that his current Holmes volumes will soon be joined by another book of short stories – a fact that will be most appreciated by his waiting fans.
The Additional Investigations of Sherlock Holmes is available from this site with a share going to our #bookstobooks program funding books for Happy Life Mission in Kenya - but also from all good bookstores (links on the book pages).
