About This Book:
TWO SLEUTHS IS TOO MANY!
Darius Pyncheon and Sebastian McCabe are both professors (of art history and literature, respectively) and both Sherlockians, devotees of the great detective. There the similarity ends. Mac has a long history of solving real-life crimes in his little of Erin, Ohio. Pyncheon does not—yet. Newly moved to Erin, Pyncheon wants to change that. That sets up a battle of egos for the ages.
The two academics become rivals as both attempt to solve a minor mystery: Someone is turning artwork against the wall at Looney Ladies Gallery. Is this a poor joke, a protest against women’s art, or something more sinister? Those questions take a back seat when murder intrudes. But perhaps the murder and the shenanigans at the gallery are related.
Along the way to a solution, Mac encounters perhaps his strangest suspect list yet, made up of artists, academics, and protesters, and involved in Arts & Crimes.
Booze and a Body
Also in this volume is the novella A Full Proof Murder, which tells the tale of an exciting new business in Erin that goes terribly wrong when it becomes the scene of a murder.
