Thank Holmes It's Friday - A 2024 Round Up

Well, well, well, it’s that fabulous Friday again—Thank Holmes It’s Friday! And guess what? This week we’re wrapping up our 2024 newsletters with a celebratory bow, sending our jolly good cheer to Sherlock Holmes aficionados across the globe!

2024 AND THE RISE OF AUDIO ADVENTURES

2024 has been a very busy year with more than forty New Books published, with the usual mix of new fiction from existing authors like David Marcum, Caiden Cooper Myles, Richard Ryan, Susan Knight and Tracy Revels alongside some exciting debut talents. Among these newcomers is Paul Elgood who brought us the first SHURDLE solve-your-own-mystery book, and kindly treats us to a new puzzle each week week in this newsletter.

2024 has also been an incredible year for our social enterprise initiatives! Together, we've raised over $20,000 for meaningful causes, from supporting Undershaw school for children with special needs to uplifting the educational programmes of Happy Life in Nairobi, Kenya, and aiding The World Food Programme. We look forward to keeping this momentum going in 2025.

While the printed book industry faces its challenges, our commitment to publishing both paperback and hardcover editions remains unwavering, driven by the love our Sherlock fans have for physical books! While Ebooks are thriving, it's the audio formats that are truly capturing hearts. November’s Top Twenty Audiobooks featured an exciting array of short story collections, and our free audio reviewer programme is gaining an enthusiastic fanbase!

As the festive season draws near, we extend our heartfelt wishes for a delightful season of joyful adventures! We have a small favor to ask: if our sleuthing tales have brought you joy this year, whether in audio or text, please share your starry love on Amazon, Goodreads, and your favorite corners of the web. Your glowing ratings work wonders—especially on Amazon, where more ratings attract their marketing support. Here’s to uncovering even more Holmes adventures in 2025!
