Author Paul Metcalfe has been a librarian for 28 years, bringing an expert researcher's eye to the Sherlockian canon. A lifelong fan since age twelve, his passion led him to the semifinals of the quiz show The Einstein Factor, where the Sherlock Holmes stories served as his specialist subject. He is a collector of old books and antiques, a strong advocate for literacy through graphic novels, and considers Jeremy Brett the definitive television Holmes.
