Sherlockian Author Profile - Paul Metcalfe
Paul Metcalfe has been a lifelong Holmes fan since reading the original stories aged twelve. In 2005 he made the semifinals of the ABC television quiz show The Einstein Factor with the Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle as my special subject. He thinks Jeremy Brett is the television Holmes nonpareil, collects old books and antiques, and is a strong advocate of the use of graphic novels to encourage reading. He was born in Yorkshire, but has lived in Australia since 1970. He has been a librarian since 1996, and currently works in a small technical college library in Albany, Western Australia.
