Sherlock Book Reviews - The Curious Cases of Sherlock Holmes (Vol’s 3 and 4) - Stephen Herczeg

Stephen Herczeg is a prolific Holmes pasticheur of the correct, traditional, and Canonical type. For the most part – except for a few stories that color outside the lines to satisfy specific requirements of certain Alternate Universe Holmes collections – Mr. Herczeg understands and provides new adventures set in the correct period, and without any aspects of parody, actual supernatural encounter, or weird Steampunk worlds. He has been so productive of late that there were enough stories for both Volumes 3 and 4 – which is a very lucky thing for those who appreciate excellent Holmes adventures.

Those who have read Mr. Herczeg’s stories in previous anthologies, or in the first two volumes of his “Curious Cases”, know that he always winkles out interesting areas to explore. Now the wait for Volumes 5 and 6 begins...

The Curious Cases of Sherlock Holmes are available from this site and all good bookstores (links on the product pages).
